My theme for studio Art was Balance. In this artwork I wanted to show that there is balance in everything and how two seemingly opposing elements are able to coexist in harmony. To convey balance in my artwork I split the artwork into two distinct parts: the foreground and the background. The interconnectedness is part of the painting, the different application of paint, the different shades and different hues. I hope that I have also been able to demonstrate the philosophy of yin and yang: two supposedly opposite forces may actually be complementary; they make all aspects of life and represent duality.
